Front steps with entrance pad

Stable, even, attractive, reliable interlocking front steps with entrance pad

G & G Landscaping in Barrie, Ontario created and installed this interlocking front steps with entrance pad!

Before we arrived these people had to enter their home by taking a large jump onto their stone porch before their door or use their previous crumbling concrete steps. While this isn't a problem for many and is in fact enjoyable if you're going for a run or feel like celebrating it can be a pain when you're trying to bring in numerous bags of groceries or your legs aren't up to climbing that day. These people got tired of this inconvenience and called us, seeking an update to their home's look and to make their lives easier.

After laying the protective fabric, gravel, sand, and ensuring all was even construction began. These stones would be used by people of all ages and capabilities and needed to be as stable as they hope their lives will be.

The bottom layer is the most critical as it determines the balance of the remainder of the project. We ensured it was level and utilized the upper layers for water drainage, with a slight angle less than 1/4 inch per foot the water runs off the stones gently and into the grass around. This easy drainage prevents water from pooling in one area and prevents damage to the stones occurring because of said water damage.

The stone's life is guaranteed to last for many years and the clients were overjoyed with the final result of the stone-setting.
